Psychology Teacher
About the Role
Creative School fosters a holistic, inquiry-driven, and integrated approach to education. The school emphasizes intellectual curiosity, reflective pedagogy, emotional intelligence, and environmental stewardship. The Psychology Teacher will deliver both Cambridge International AS & A Level Psychology (9990) and NIOS Senior Secondary Psychology (328) to learners aged 16–19 at The Creative School’. The role involves planning, executing, and assessing engaging lessons that promote conceptual understanding, research skills, and psychological thinking, while nurturing students’ emotional and ethical development in harmony with the school’s creative and mindful education philosophy.
Responsibilities
- Participate in The Sacred Classroom© Teacher Education Program for personal and professional growth to deepen understanding of the school’s teaching framework.
- Deliver engaging, activity-based lessons aligned with Creative’s Sacred Classroom© pedagogy – as they receive training in this pedagogy.
- Plan and teach lessons aligned with Cambridge A Level and NIOS psychology modules.
- Facilitate research methodology learning (experiments, self-reports, case studies, and planning questions) as required by both syllabi.
- Integrate mindfulness, ethics, and reflective practices into teaching to support holistic growth.
- Coordinate experiential learning experiences such as psychological investigations, surveys, and field projects.
- Liaise with other faculty members to integrate interdisciplinary approaches and school-wide initiatives.
- Develop assessments consistent with Cambridge’s objectives (knowledge, application, analysis) and NIOS’ activity-based evaluation model.
- Support students with internal and external exam preparation.
- Track individual student progress and recommend targeted interventions when required. Provide individualized academic and emotional guidance.
- Model and encourage ethics, resilience, and interconnected thinking.
Qualifications
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with minimum 2–3 years of teaching experience in Cambridge or national boards (NIOS, CBSE, or ISC).
- Familiarity with Cambridge International A Level assessment standards and NIOS learning frameworks.
- Strong skills in research design, data analysis, and psychological report writing.
- Sensitivity to adolescent emotional development.
- Excellent communication and mentoring abilities. Empathetic educator who embodies the values of mindfulness, creativity, and authenticity.
- Comfort with integrating creative methodologies such as storytelling, social interventions, art, or nature-based learning.
- Adapt teaching to different learning styles.
- Preferable to have skills in integrating digital tools and visualization software for data presentation.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
- Ability to review textbooks and reference books to work with relevant materials
