About the Role

The Biology Teacher at Creative will spark curiosity, encourage deep inquiry, and facilitate connections between Science and other disciplines. This educator will design experiential learning opportunities that blend physical, life, and earth sciences with mathematics, language arts, and the arts, enabling students to investigate the world through multiple lenses. The role demands a facilitator who can guide students through the joy, challenges, and complexities of scientific exploration.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in The Sacred Classroom© Teacher Education Program for personal and professional growth to deepen understanding of the school’s teaching framework.
  • Deliver engaging, activity-based lessons aligned with Creative’s Sacred Classroom© pedagogy – as they receive training in this pedagogy. 
  • Plan and conduct exploration-rich biology lessons that begin with students’ existing knowledge and expand into higher-level concepts as per the prescribed syllabi/ 
  • Foster inquiry and critical thinking. Encourage open-ended tasks and student-designed investigations
  • Employ varied teaching mediums—books, videos, debates, experiments, field trips, gardening, cooking, photography, art, and nature walks—to deepen understanding and extend the learning into real life applications with inquisitiveness for current or past research work 
  • Integrate science with mathematics (e.g., data analysis, measurements, graph interpretation), language arts (e.g., scientific writing, research skills), and arts (e.g., scientific illustration, model-making).
  • Design, supervise, and evaluate laboratory experiments.
  • Guide students in preparing for assessments by building strong conceptual understanding, reasoning skills, and exam-writing strategies.
  • Conduct continuous formative and summative assessments through tests, quizzes, lab work, peer review, and project presentations.
  • Track individual student progress and recommend targeted interventions when required.
  • Model and encourage scientific ethics, resilience, and interconnected thinking.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science or related field and/or experience in teaching research based project work and science in school settings
  • More importantly – a love for learning and teaching; love children and help them rise up to challenges
  • Deep curiosity and respect for the natural world.
  • Strong facilitation skills to inspire independent thinking and collaborative problem-solving.
  • Prior teaching experience in inquiry-based or trans-disciplinary learning environments preferred.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Cambridge International Curriculum will be an advantage
  • Commitment to ongoing personal and professional growth.
  • Experience teaching teenagers using experiential and contextual approaches.
  • Strong facilitation, mentoring, and communication skills.
  • Open-mindedness, empathy, reflectiveness, and enthusiasm for child-centered, holistic education.
  • Proficiency with digital tools for data analysis, and presentations.
  • Demonstrated experience in experimental design, theoretical calculations and data analyses.
  • Ability to review textbooks and reference books to work with relevant materials
  • Openness to holistic education and Creative’s spiritually inspired pedagogy.
