Global Perspectives Teacher
About the Role
We are seeking a reflective and dynamic Global Perspectives Teacher who is passionate about trans-disciplinary learning, critical inquiry, and holistic education. The ideal candidate will inspire students from grades 9–12 to explore local-to-global connections through research, collaboration, and self-enquiry. This role emphasizes guiding students to think critically, express reasoned viewpoints, and appreciate diverse perspectives through experiential, student-driven learning.
Responsibilities
- Participate in The Sacred Classroom© Teacher Education Program for personal and professional growth to deepen understanding of the school’s teaching framework.
- Deliver engaging, activity-based lessons aligned with Creative’s Sacred Classroom© pedagogy – as they receive training in this pedagogy.
- Design and facilitate student-centered lessons that integrate concepts across disciplines — social studies, environment, psychology, home science, economics, and current affairs.
- Lead students through research-based projects, group case studies, and individual inquiry reports.
- Guide students in developing skills in data collection, analysis, and critical evaluation of texts and evidence.
- Encourage discussion, debate, and reflection to build empathy and balanced viewpoints.
- Facilitate field-based learning experiences and incorporate local and global relevance into topics of study.
- Integrate technology effectively for research, documentation, and presentation
- Support students in developing presentation and communication skills through storytelling, report writing, and structured essays.
- Collaborate with colleagues to connect classroom learning with the school’s integrated approach, holistic and spiritual education vision.
- Continuously assess student growth through written assignments, reflections, and interactive evaluations.
- Guide students in preparing for assessments by building strong conceptual understanding, reasoning skills, and exam-writing strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Social Sciences, Environmental Studies, or related fields and/or experience in teaching research based project work, geography, humanities, economics, science in school settings.
- More importantly – a love for learning and teaching; love children and help them rise up to challenges
- Deep curiosity and respect for the natural world.
- Prior teaching experience in inquiry-based or trans-disciplinary learning environments preferred.
- Knowledge and understanding of Cambridge International Curriculum will be an advantage
- Commitment to ongoing personal and professional growth.
- Experience teaching teenagers using experiential and contextual approaches.
- Strong facilitation, mentoring,and communication skills.
- Comfort with technology and data-driven learning methods. Proficiency with digital tools for research, data analysis, and presentations.
- Open-mindedness, empathy, reflectiveness, and enthusiasm for child-centered, holistic education.
- Openness to holistic education and Creative’s spiritually inspired pedagogy.
